StackState Agent v2.16.0 released

We are pleased to announce the release of the StackState Agent v2.16.0.

Features

• Container collector for Docker, ContainerD and CRI runtimes. (STAC-14483)
• Kubernetes objects topology
  • made object YAML definition available as "Component properties" in order to enable Kubernetes changes events. (STAC-15054)
• OpenTelemetry
  • Added Trace Agent /open-telemetry endpoint
  • Added Open Telemetry protobuf
  • Added interpreter for OpenTelemetry instrumentation routes
  • Added interpreter for aws-sdk instrumentation lambda, s3, step function, sqs, and sns
  • Added interpreter for http instrumentation
  • Added unit testing for OpenTelemetry

Improvements

• Set Process Agent check intervals to be default 30 seconds, added ENV variable overrides for Process Agent check intervals. (STAC-15661)

Bug fixes

• Process Agent now acknowledges STS_SKIP_SSL_VALIDATION environment variable. (STAC-15225)
• Fixed Agent configuration example. (STAC-15693)
• Fix missing HTTP response time charts (from process-agent version 4.0.1) (STAC-15754)
• Big ConfigMaps are being cut to STS_CONFIGMAP_MAX_DATASIZE (default 100 KiB) before sending to StackState for better readability and performance. (STAC-15323)
