Problem
After upgrading to StackState v5.1.0 (or later), it is no longer possible to start StackState on Linux.
Cause
From StackState v5.1.0, the required version of JDK has been updated. StackState now requires OpenJDK 11. This must be the only version of JDK present on the installation machine before upgrading StackState. If a mismatching JDK version is installed, or there are multiple versions installed, StackState will fail to start.
Solution
To solve this issue, take the following steps:
- Upgrade the installation machine to OpenJDK 11.
- Remove previous versions of JDK from the installation machine.
- Upgrade StackState to v5.1.0.
